Case Study

Premier Tax Service

In Phase 1, we launch your project with a deep-dive session where we will get to know everything about your business: where you are, where you've been, & where you want to go.

We will ask you a series of questions where we will get to know all about your customers, your competitors, your industry niche, and your long-term goals for your business.

Premier Tax Service wanted a complete rebrand of their business that would affect their logo, signage, website, and interior office mock-ups.

By the end of this phase, you will have the following:

  • A brief of what exactly we are doing for you that breaks down next steps
  • A project timeline that outlines when you can expect your deliverables

In Phase 2, we take the data we gathered from your discovery meeting and begin to analyze your brand, your niche, and your target market.

We will then share our research findings using our unique templates. Next we will share and discuss the following: Your target customer profiles, your competitive landscape, and finally we present your unique voice/tone with some distinct branding mood-boards. (often 2-3 mood boards are presented)

By the end of this phase, you will have the following:

  • Core Customer profiles targeted who you want your brand to speak to
  • Competitive landscape profile showing your main competitors (if any)
  • Ideal Aesthetic sheet showing a general view of brands/styles you like best
  • 2-3 Distinct mood boards to help set the visual tone for your rebrand

Mood Boards are a collection of visual assets, such as colors, images, text, photos, or any other visual inspiration. Your chosen final mood board encompasses who you are as a brand and how you want to portray yourself visually to the world.

Here are the 2 mood boards for Premier Tax Service. They really wanted a look that spoke to their target customers in Redondo Beach California. They chose option 2.

In Phase 3, now that we have your chosen mood board, we start to design your logo and branding.

First we start with black and white logo options making sure they are as legible and clean as possible. Also, in case you want to copyright or trademark your logo, black and white is required for any logo submission. We also show each logo on various mock-up images to help visualize how they would look in real-world applications.

Once our client chose their favorite logo, we made some final adjustments so it worked as best as possible in 1 color or just black and white.

We then took the approved color palette from the chosen mood board and began adding color to the logo option on the right.

Various logos were created for the final brand tool kit including a stacked logo, a horizontal logo, and 1 color version.

Color logos were then applied to mock-up images to help visualize how they would look in real-world applications.

Premier Tax Service Branding Toolkit

Once the logo, color palette and brand building toolkit were completed, we got to work on the final portion of this project. Creating mock-ups of how this rebrand will look, using photos from how it looked at that moment.

As you can clearly see from the before and after below, just by adding some color and this great new logo, it transformed the Premier Tax office into a vibrant, new environment!
